Tyler Horton

Photography

Tyler Horton grew up in Idaho and developed a love of nature from an early age.  He spent lots of time camping, hunting, and fishing with family and friends. He started using a camera when he was eight--learning from his parents, who also enjoyed photographing the natural world. As a sports editor and photographer in school he learned more and honed his skills. His passion for photography accelerated after he completed his studies at the University of Idaho.

Tyler Horton was featured in the Lewiston Tribune, and his work has appeared in the Whitman County Gazette. He has won Outdoor Idaho’s photography contest 15 times, and other photography contests including Contest Finalist in Black&White Masterpieces Photo Contest on ViewBug (International). His work is displayed at Moscow Art Walk, Moscow Farmer’s Market, Potlatch Farmer’s Market, ArtWorks Gallery in Sandpoint, the Historic WI&M Train Depot in Potlatch, and in several businesses in Moscow and Coeur d’Alene.

Tyler can often be found hiking forests, travelling to parks, and waiting patiently in blinds for the perfect shot. He photographs wildlife, landscape, and nightscape/astrophotography; and also teaches classes to help spread inspiration thoughtfulness, and appreciation of nature.

He also has an active fan base on social media platforms.
