Debbie Todd
Jewelry
I’ve always enjoyed jewelry for as long as I can remember ~ wearing it and making it. It’s a wonderful creative process to see a bunch of beads turn into beautiful wearable art.
I have been a jewelry and fiber artist for over 50 years. I have no formal training. I’ve taken lots of classes through the years and enjoy learning new techniques and ways to expand my jewelry using found objects, recycled materials, leather, beads, etc. I’ve been a spinner, a weaver, a basket maker, but my real passion is bead work!
I moved to Sandpoint with my husband in 1980 and we have a beautiful home along the Pack River in the Selkirk Mountains. I spend a lot of time at the river, which is a constant source of inspiration and creativity.
My studio is in my home with big windows looking out to the wonderful mountains and river. I love being surrounded by all my beads and fiber. I try to create something each and every day. Art makes me happy!
ABOUT MY JEWELRY
LEATHER BRACELETS:
All the leather I use is genuine leather. The clasps and spacers are zinc, plated with 99.9% sterling silver. They are free of lead, nickel, cadmium. They are hypoallergenic. The clasps may be magnetic, hinge, or hook style.
To open the magnetic clasps, slightly “twist” the clasp and lift up. Do not pull sideways. To remove from your wrist, insert a fingernail in the side slot of the clasp to “pop” it open.
